Dipl.-Ing. Werner Wagner, company founder, shareholder and Managing Director of today's WAGNER Group GmbH, is considered a pioneer in fire protection: in 1986 he developed the first aspirating smoke detector for early fire detection; in 1998 he had the idea for active fire prevention and developed the OxyReduct® fire prevention system based on oxygen reduction technology.
The primary objective of the shareholders and management of our family-owned company is to continue to develop the company actively and innovatively. In addition to securing long-term earnings and consistent internationalization, the key prerequisites for this are maintaining our technology and innovation leadership and keeping our customers satisfied in the long term. At the heart of our corporate policy is our ability to innovate and, closely linked to this, our ability to constantly rethink things and to adapt and change ourselves and our service portfolio to new market conditions.
“Our pioneering and inventive spirit has made us strong in the past and we will carry this into the future. We stand for many years of experience, reliability and the willingness to constantly rethink things.”
We are continuously developing our fire protection systems in our own research and development department. More than 700 patents have emerged from our R&D activities in recent years and have made our family-owned company the technology and innovation leader in early fire detection and fire prevention.
We think globally and act locally: through our worldwide presence with our own subsidiaries in the markets relevant to us, we ensure our proximity to the market and develop our systems according to the needs of our customers.
Securing our innovation leadership in the future is one of our strategic pillars. We understand successful innovation management as a holistic process that takes into account the skills and abilities of our employees as well as our structures, processes and corporate culture. For us, future-oriented innovation management goes beyond pure product innovation.
Through close cooperation between the departments of Innovation and Knowledge, Human Resources, Organizational Development and Process Management, Corporate Communications and the Digital Transformation Office, we are continuing to develop and expand our innovation management in order to keep rethinking things in the future.
